I just wanted to share a patient testimonial.  J  has been a patient of ours for a couple of months.  He never misses his appointments!  He’s definitely an outstanding patient! He had low back pain and knee pain for a few years. Gregory Allen Case File: Chronic Neck Pain

It wasn’t too long ago that I saw Gregory Allen for his intake examination and he had a common complaint that I see in the 65 and older population which is chronic neck pain.  Greg is a 68 year old veteran who came to me with chronic neck pain that he’d suffered from for nearly 40 years.  It had gotten so bad for Mr. Allen that he was on prescription medications for 20 years to help alleviate his pain which worked less and less the longer he was on them.  After that didn’t work for him, Greg went back to the Veteran Affairs Hospital and their second choice after medication was to burn the nerves in his neck to decrease his sensation of pain.   Mr. Allen stated the procedure was extremely painful and the results were little to none.

Upon examining Greg, it was evident that he had a dramatic forward head carriage, to the point where he was using his cane as a brace to hold his head up while he was seated.  It should also be noted that Mr. Allen uses an oxygen tank to help his labored breathing that is induced by his years of smoking.  After just a few sessions of adjusting Greg with the arthrostim and neck strengthening and stretching exercises, his symptoms of pain and heavy-headness started to disappear.  Now twenty visits into his corrective care plan, and Mr. Allen is breathing easier, has a nearly double cervical range of motion, and is able to enjoy quality time with his grandchildren without being in dire pain.  On several occasions, Greg has relayed to me that he wishes he would have tried chiropractic care sooner and that in two months I’d been able to help him more than the VA had for forty  years.  If you or anyone you know suffers from chronic neck pain like Greg please contact Dr. Tarr at the Heuser Chiropractic Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado for a free examination, consultation and treatment.
